Fantastic to see our client Hyde + Hyde Architects published in The Architects’ Journal with a First Look of Edge House, set on the coast of Ceredigion, Wales.
Perched on a dramatic peninsula in the Irish Sea, Edge House reclaims its cliffside site with bold form and deep-rooted sentiment.
Shaped by childhood summers and a ten-year vision, the design amplifies the setting – framing views, flooding the home with light, and forging a visceral connection to place.
A cantilevered first floor reaches to the horizon. Black interiors and exposed beams invite the landscape in. Concrete anchors the home to the cliffs, while lightweight timber and fibre cement soften its silhouette.
Self-built in phases by the client’s husband, Edge House is a deeply personal reimagining of home, memory and resilience. See the full story here.
