GRID Architects and Bell Philips win The Planning Awards 2024

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate two client wins at this year’s Planning Awards!

Brook House by GRID Architects and Sphere25 has won ‘Planning for Affordable Housing

Generating 100% affordable new homes and enabling those who would otherwise be unable to access the housing market, Brook House will see 102 crucial new homes in Acton – delivered for Women’s Pioneer Housing (WPH), who have been unwaveringly dedicated to housing single women for over a century.

The sensitive scheme is designed around inclusivity and replaces existing buildings which are no longer fit for purpose – and none of the former homes are wheelchair accessible. GRID’s design makes use of the underutilised site to significantly improve conditions and address the specific requirements of existing residents and their needs as they grow older.

Church Street Regeneration by Bell Phillips has won the ‘Award for Regeneration

The mixed-use estate regeneration scheme in Westminster is one of the largest projects of its type in London. When complete, it will see up to 1,120 new homes (50% of which will be affordable), flexible new retail and affordable workspaces, a new library and community hub, new green spaces within an improved public realm, and upgraded infrastructure to support the popular and long-established Church Street market. The densification of the 3.84ha site balances new buildings and public space, almost tripling the number of homes within a holistic package of economic, environmental and social improvements.
