We’re thrilled to see Mulroy Architects featured in the April 2025 issue of 25 Beautiful Homes with Mountview Road — a reimagined Crouch End home transformed into a light-filled, spacious retreat, despite its north-facing garden.

By relocating the central staircase, the living space was expanded by 30%, with the stair now forming a sculptural spine through the house. A carefully angled 45° extension opens up views and now faces the light.

What appear to be tall, windowless roof forms are in fact openable rooflights – designed to capture south-facing sun and promote natural ventilation.

Working in collaboration with Simpson & Voyle, the interiors feature bold colours, patterns, and repurposed pieces that complement the architecture by Mulroy – fulfilling the clients’ vision of combining Australian summer ambiance with dramatic London views in a home designed for entertaining.
