This north London home, once burdened by decades of ill-conceived extensions and disjointed spaces, has been reimagined into a light-filled family sanctuary.

The project was driven by Nichola, founder of No Ordinary House, who sought a space that could evolve with their growing family. By opening up the ground floor, introducing strong sightlines, and integrating nature, the home now fosters openness and social interaction. A new basement adds multifunctionality, featuring a gym, screening room and bar, while ensuring adaptability for future generations.

Mulroy’s design incorporates a double-height living wall, energy-efficient upgrades, and low-energy solutions, elevating environmental performance. This project exemplifies thoughtful, forward-thinking design – blending form, function, and sustainability to create an extraordinary living space.
