Our client Neil Dusheiko Architects have been published in the Evening Standard Homes & Property with their extraordinary project, House of the Elements.
The project is a groundbreaking transformation of a traditional Victorian townhouse in Peckham, London, which forms a serene sanctuary within the busy city. The design blends Sri Lankan tropical modernism with Victorian charm, and features a specially-commissioned artwork by SODA that rises through the void with fractured geometric planes that create a play of light and shadow that changes hour by hour; together with large roof lights, floating balconies, and a living wall.
The practice have placed an emphasis on nature and challenge the concept of space – viewing it as an entity that evolves with the presence of humans, daily rituals, plant cultivation, and the play of natural light throughout the day.
