Wonderful to see Neil Dusheiko Architects have been featured in The Times Bricks & Mortar in print and online with their new project, The Lowered House.
Neil Dusheiko Architects integrated the upper floors of a traditional terraced house in Tufnell Park with the basement flat below, creating a unified & dynamic living space for the owners and their family. The clients were already living in the upper masionette, when their downstairs neighbour’s basement flat became available – allowing them to create a larger home around their needs, while retaining their strong neighbourhood connections.
The highlight of The Lowered House is a beautifully designed spiral staircase that seamlessly connects the lounge, kitchen, and dining room bathed in natural light from a prominent skylight. This design enhances the spatial flow and introduces a striking double-height volume that’s both visually stunning, and practical.
