Burnside Cottage by née gibson architects

Burnside Cottage sees a contemporary yet modest extension to an early-1900s, ‘but-and-ben’ cottage that was falling into disrepair. The clients were passionate about retrofitting the traditional Shetland building – resulting in a sensitive, sustainable home that embraces character & setting.

North Roe Kirk by née gibson architects

North Roe Kirk by once operated as a church for 100+ years. To bring this historic building back into use and avoid dereliction, the building has been converted into a 2-bed dwelling – providing the client with a future home, delivering rental accommodation in response to long-term housing demand in Shetland.

3 Mills by Gort Scott

3 Mills Studios is London’s oldest surviving industrial centre! Designed in collaboration with The London Legacy Development Corporation and Freehaus Design, Gort Scott have created new workspace for production teams through the adaptive reuse of 3 buildings: the Gin Still, Custom House and Rush House

Ashley Road by Matthew Giles Architects

This semi-detached house has been revitalised and expanded with new timber clad, side and rear ground floor extensions – designed in conversation with a new garden building to unify the site a whole. The form and palette nods to local materials & street characteristics. Matthew Giles Architects used as much of the existing fabric as possible, which both saved costs and allowed for an innovative, contemporary #design that embraces sustainability.

Kings Road House by Matthew Giles Architects

This whole house retrofit in Wimbledon has repurposed the best parts and boosted environmental performance, delivering a large family home full of warmth, and is contemporary equivalent to the existing brick homes on Kings Road.
